Huddersfield Police and Millwall fans

When we played there, one year many Cardiff fans were attacked by the Huddersfield police and the Huddersfield police were sued.

Cops at Huddersfield were awful with us, I think it was Gwyn who took his camcorder so luckily we had proof

Yes i remember it well was my first ever away game and was hooked after that,it was the rams early days 2002 i think and gwyn put on 2 buses to manchester and we had the afternoon in piccadilly then the train over the pennines into huddersfiled for the evening kick off and boy what a welcome we had from the local filth at the train station.

I have never seen nothing like it we was met with pure hatred from them full riot gear batons drawn dogs horses the lot,they took us pass the main huddersfeild lads pub to take the piss knowing we would react to them trying to get at us from the pub and them throwing everything they could get they hands on at us thru the pub windows so that give them the excuse they wanted to assault every single 100 or so of us in that convoy some worse than others as some will tell you who was there.

We had a great day we sang our hearts out all the way from manchester to huddersfield with not a hint of trouble the atmosphere was electric then we met them thugs(nyp)and spoilt a really good day.

Just wondering gwyn have you still got the footage of the day or is it on the net anywhere, never got to see it and would love to see my very eventfull first ever away game and the events that took place that balmy day 8 years ago?

just seen this and the copper blatantly punches the young lad in the face he even had a truncheon in is other hand and did,nt use it ,the lad shouts at him and he punches him in the face again they cant get away with that surely.

i took photographs that day of the reception committe outside the railway station and also the way the horses were being used to herd us on to the pavements as we went past huddersfield pub.

i gave the photographs to everybodys solicitors and the huddersfield police came down to cardiff to take a statement from me .
they told me it would be a long drawn out affair with lots of court appearances costing me money and time off work.
i told them i wasent worried about losing any money as i would retrieve all my costs when their police force was found guilty of brutality.

the following season we all went to huddersfield in cars as we were warned by simon that they would be looking to arrest witnesses for any reason to devalue our testimony.

There are decent coppers. But the vast majority are bullied at school cunts. They see something
like a football match as freedom to punch and baton people who cant fight back. When they were
younger they were all taking it up the arse off the school bully is why.
