Ice Around the Stadium

I was down there today and the whole area (Car Park and Walkways) are just 1 large sheet of ice! I would imagine if the game were to take place today then it would have to be called off. Hope the weather warms up before Saturday!

was there yesterday. The Car Park was really dodgy.

No salt or grit around at all!

Spoke to them today, the pitch is thawing out already

But I have heard of games being called off if its unsafe the surrounding areas.

Weather is going to be quite mild Saturday apparently around 6 Degrees.

So fingers crossed we should be okay.

We have had quiet a few games called off because of the surrounding arears being unfit for safety issues! The undersoil heating made the pitch spot on but you can't control what happens outside the stadium!!!!!! ive looked at the next four days weather because im driving down christmas eve and its seems to be getting milder!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully!!!!!!!!!!!

they should put grit outside the ground and the surronding areas to make sure this game is playable

They are probably leaving it till the last minute to keep the cost down!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply I had was

Car park – we have a limited supply of grit which we can spread ourselves, but we do need to liaise with the Council to get more grit and get their spreaders to cover the car park effectively. This is in progress – hopefully the Council will be amenable

I think the gritters are stationed by my works depot on Brindley Road which is all of 100 yards from CCS... I can't imagine it would be that difficult for the club to request urgent gritting at the last minute if the weather was bad.
