PRICE FOR HEATING BEING ON!!!!

Just spoke to groundsman at Hillsborough about the running cost of our undersoil heating! He says it goes on 3days before a game with there being 20 + miles of pipes to heat up from the boiler!
£12,000 3days for 1game
£30,000 - £40,000 to leave for a week
with the boxing day game against Newcastle being live on sky it benefits them having it on all week with a 30,000 crowd and £70,000 from sky the have put it on for the week to guarentee game on!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only way it can be called off now is what the conditions outside the ground and surrounding areas are like? Which are out of the clubs hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a lot of money and a lot of Clubs cant afford that extra exspense.

Bore da Annis! I suppose them who have it fitted would have to think would it benefit them to who they are playing and what the crowd would be to make it worthwhile having it switched on?????????

Yeah, especially when you think that only the odd game each season is at risk of postponement most just don't deem it a worthwhile expenditure and would rather just suffer a re-arranged game.
