How times have changed

Fri May 21, 2010 11:54 am

For the last 6 months our players have been wearing training gear straight from the club shop because of an unpaid bill to Puma of £250k, the Peter Ridsdale factor again.

But today Puma have delivered new tracksuits, warm up gear, trainers and boots for all the squad members ahead of tomorrows showpiece final.

All the gear that Puma have supplied is the Puma International range so it is the real top quality stuff.

What a difference it makes to be a successful side, just goes to show how this could be the start of much better times ahead.

Am I being thick but I was under the impression that kit deals meant Puma gave us money not the other way around ?

Or haven't we been passing on their % of the takings from club shop ?

The good thing about reaching the premier league - besides the financial gain, but in another form - is the sponsorship rights for all sources...... Companies will be lining up to get their names on kits, boards, stadium, players individual sponsors etc etc...

Im so excited about tomorrow's result, but on the other hand, If we lose - I will be davastated.

This might sound kinda weird but i dont think Blackpool will be as gutted as us if we win and they lose....
