wHAT WAS THE POINT

Sun May 23, 2010 3:49 pm

one city fan telling one 2 sit down the lad said f**k off the disgruntled sitting city fan decided to do a drop kick on the lad 5 rows down the kick connected although the bloke who done the kick smashed his head on the seat when he fell knocked himself out cold for 15 odd mins.

don't condone the violence, but perhaps taking into consideration the seating plan of a modern stadium such as Wembley there isn't a need for people to stand to see the action. You can see it just as easily sat down!!!

It wasn't the case as when at the CCS a group of like minded people are all together and can stadn throughout the game without any hinderance to anyone else. With people being spread out you have to CONSIDER OTHER PEOPLE. I had my 4 year old son with me who it would have knackered me to stand holding him in my arms for 90 mins so that he could actually see the game I paid for him to watch. In the row infron there was also an elderly man who physically wasn't able to stand for the game... What about him???

perhaps people shouuld be less demanding of their won right to stand and be more considerate of another person's inability to see, who have paid just as much as anyone else to watch the team they love and are entitled to be able to watch in a degree of comfort and good health!!!

Totally agree. If there is a known standing section then obviously there can be no compliant, but else where it is extremely selfish to stand and block the view of others.

Yesterday I had a prick right in front of me who thought it was perfectly reasonable to stand (whilst everyone else was sitting) and take photographs 20 minutes into the game.

When I told him to sit down I was called a prick and he claimed that it was me who was spoiling HIS occasion.

Honestly it only takes a bit of common sense and a bit of thought for others and the game can be watched by everyone without incident.

What got me was being told to sit down while celebrating a goal, now this wasn't by anyone too elderly to be able to stand up or by anyone with children, it was by some sandal and socks combo wearing **** with a bad haircut and a ruddy bumbag.

Well I'm amazed your sandal wearing nemisis could make himself heard during the goal celebrations, but that aside it is perfectly understandable to stand up and celebrate a goal or the situation where a player bursts through on goal and there is a natural recation to stand up.

What is out of order is a lone or a couple of odd fans standing up whilst everyone else is seated for either selfish or no apparent reason.

I cant get my 9 yr old son to pay attention at a game for more than 5 constant minutes - how do you manage with a weeney little 4yr old kid? p.s just out of interest how much is it for a 4yr old to watch mate at Wembley?

Same here, £28. First few games had the wife on standby in Cardiff to fetch him when he got bored. Then I think the Wtford, Swansea and one or two others he sat all the way through and enjoyed it. Didn't take any toysbut just talked to him about the game and get him singing

Everyone's knows the rules, it's an all seater arena. At CCS if people fall over the domino effect lasts for 20 rows maximum. If it happens in Wembley there are f*cking tiers so people might actually die and fall over the tier edge if some drunk tw*t is standing up and loses his footing.

Some people also actually can't stand during games due to various problems. Think about the kids as well. It's not designated standing so just sit down for 90 mins, it's not that hard.

So all those who like to stand at a game do you stand up when watching on tv? I like the atmosphere at a game but after 45 years of watching sport the legs dont last out so i prefer to sit most of game.
