Dave Jones replacement?

Mon May 24, 2010 1:38 pm

Who knows?

IF we end up needing one, who would you like to see here? are they available, and would they want to join as our new manager?

Nathan Blake, Mark Hughes, Curbishley, Andy Legg, you could name and name if you though enough, but who would be your choice :?:

I have to say I more often than not agree with everything Nathan Blake says but it's completely different being a pundit and being a manager. I want Jones to stay, if you haven't already guessed by my other posts , but if he did go I would agree with Tony Blue Williams' shout of Tony Mowbray. His football is great and he seems a nice enough guy. I don't think we'd sign a manager from another club due to compensation reasons. Jones won't be going anywhere though.

My favourite would be Sean O'Driscoll from Doncaster.

If he cant handle Celtic - then he's got no chance at Cardiff!

I'd like to see Blake as a manager one day, he's city at heart, talks the talk and i think he get along great with both players and fans, he also would know whats expected of him being in the position he's in.

Whether his time is now or in the future is anybody's guess.

Look at Murinho - he never played professional football in his life!

Tony Mowbray or Ryan Giggs as player manager.

Mark Hughes

Blake as manager... His articles are always accurate as they are always written well after the fact when even a blind man could write the same!

Personally, given the players we have who are very much more in the flair mould than grafters, I'd go with Poyet.

No Giggs - we don't need an inexperienced manager cutting his teeth using us as a guinea pig.
Mowbray - decent for this level, abysmal in Jockland...

Mark Hughes? Absolutely no chance. No way. Overrated, absolutely s*** on Wales big time - so he'd do the same to us first opportunity of something "better".

of the names given in this thread already I'd agree with O'Driscoll.

Tony Mowbray, Sean O'Driscoll or Billy Davies.

Darren Ferguson, 2 promotions in 2 seasons, young full of ideas, willing to take risks. Plus the best unofficial advisor on the planet his dad lol.

What about Gianfranco Zola and Steve Clarke?

Re: Dave Jones replacement?

Mon May 24, 2010 5:28 pm

Zola? LOL

I'd like O'Driscoll but his compensation would be £1m, it's written into his contract.

I'd only want him if he brought Brian Stock and Billy Sharp with him as well.
