Bradford in League 2

have a higher average attendance than Blackpool (Premier League team!)

without sounding sour, the best team won in the final. i still think teams like Blackpool should be vetted before they get into the worlds elite league! having a 1/4 of your stadium yet to be built, and average attendances of 8000 should be considered non-sustainable to actively attain Premier League status.

Teams coming up from the conference have been denied places in the League system for similar reasons, why should Blackpool in the Premiership be any different.

for arguments sake: with 12,000 capacity, and half of the people paying £300 for a season ticket. = £1.8m
and the other half walk up fans - 6000 x £25 = £1.35m per/year = total of £3.15m in gate receipts annually.
Is shocking and sounds almost impossible to sustain their position!

Maybe they'll not bother signing players on massive fees and wages - Just expect to get relegated - use the money along with a £14m parachute payment to enhance and rebuild the ground, and the club. And challenge again from square 1. If they make very little changes i can't even see them getting into double figures for games won!

In a way I'm glad Blackpool have got there. Obviously sad as it was at our expense but just shows what you can do with a decent manager. If we had one it could have been us.

I can see what you're saying Merlin but I am pleased for Blackpool purely for their 8k hardcore. They've felt what we've felt and it's their turn. Best of luck to them. I don't care about their infrastructure. They got promoted and should be judged purely on that, nothing else.

What about the teams that have been refused entry because of the lack of their facilites and small grounds. How do you think they must be feeling?

Yeah, I agree they should be let in. I don't think teams should be judged on their infrustructure though. If a club plays well on the field that's all that should count. Obviously within reason! For example, a team playing down Heath Park would be breaching so many Premiership health and safety regulations!

To enter the league a ground need to come up to certain requirements. These requirements are needed else we could have teams who only have a pitch entering.

Was there not some problem with us going up when we were at NP. I think we had to be an all seater stadium or something ot be allowed to go up but we managed to get special dispensation?
