Once the preserve of those who knew their football, fashion, music, local identity and getting their mitts dirty or who now have put all differences aside and have a 'love in' because of the perceived threat of the muzzies?

CCTV. Without the confrontation the mobs are dead. CCTV has made the confrontation difficult if not impossible to do without getting caught. Running riot through a City centre had more of a buzz than in some field where confrontation can only take place without being caught.

I dont think you will ever take away the main ingredient that is young men like to fight, its just they dont do it at football matches anymore because of the consequences.People talk about hooligans...football hooligans...but it was just people doing at football what they done every other day/weekend at pubs and clubs, football was just a good vehicle for it,a good way of getting people together,no different from say mods and rockers, punks or skins. It is still in people especially the younger ones but it will never be the same at football ever again.
