Hello Mate,
I think you'll find the trip where we bumped into Man Utd. in the services was Lincoln away 3 x weks later. (first time I ever heared that chant - OH LIVER LIVER, LIVER LIVER LIVER LIVER SAUSAGE AND CHIPS,
Huddersfield though was superb, after the game city just stormed the gates and chased them everywhere.
Was also there with you 2 x season later upstarirs on that bus, only about 10 of us when a mob of them got on about 3 x stops later and they wouldn't come upstairs. I remember when we got off they didn'y have the guts to some into us and we had to wlk the gaunlet through a fair few of them.

I lived up that way then and went to this game but went with some local mates so ended up in the home end. David Phillips score our goal that day, a tap in from a Jimmy Mullen volley that smashed the crossbar and rebounded of their diving goalkeeper, David Felgate a Welsh international, for thr ball nicely to fall to Phillips. That goal was scored at the home end and Phillips celebrated by doing the wanker sign in front of my mates and I.

I was living in Bradford then and went to that match unbelievable day, the police tried to keep us in at the end and Cardiff fans through over some fire works over the gates and the gates burst open and then it was just a free for all. Before and after the match from the road to the train station Cardiff and Huddersfield fans clashed non stop.
We only had 400 fans up there and about 350 were lads, I have some good photos of that day of everyone on the terraces behind the goal, I dont have any in the streets lol.

Yeah, the Man U incident was the Lincoln game, for some reason I seem to remember they were from the west country, they did start to laugh the situation off, until it went off, they made a hasty retreat and a couple of their windows also went through, we passed them on the way home, with plastic covering the windows.
Spot on with Huddersfield as well they had quite a mob outside waiting for us to come out, some of them right lumps, they scattered very quickly mind, Leeds Road was similar to Ninian with the big open end.
Being a bit of a train spotter,it was not Dave Phillips ( never played for us) I think it was King Dave Bennett, who also got sent off for fighting with Marshall Buke ( who had a spell with us on loan)sounds like I was on the same coach, would have been me an Kag, both about 15
