We have a huge support from the Valleys, so what is his definition of a Valley Ram type of person, the book does not promote hooliganism just states facts and stories from days gone by. I dont like the sound of this guy so far, i know he deserves a chance but he is not impressing us so far.

Annis, I'll show my support by requesting a copy of Gwyn's book pronto please.... and whilst we are at it a copy of "Cardiff City Through The Years" too if you don't mind? - Maybe young "£60k rugger bugger Gethin" should get a copy too just to remind himself of what his new FOOTBALL club is actually all about.....minus the seemigly obvious egg shaped attitude in his first fortnight at the helm!! .

Let me know how you'd like immediate payment mate.

Cheers,
Peter

I have just joined, shows the incompetence of the man banning the book and he should apologise. The rams were the heartbeat of away travel for many years and enabled thousands of fans to travel in organised travel and literally be picked up door to door. I went with the Bargoed rams and have made friends for life, the memories will live on and the organisation with Gwyn, corky and the reps on each bus was outstanding. He has made a big mistake here

Look Annis Fcuk "Geth the Whef", I actually need my next chunck of CCFC missive anyway, having read myself through 160 pages in one stint yesterday on 'shattered dreams' to get me only a few chapters (including "Peter Ridsdale"  :( ) from finishing it... :)

What's best for you to get to me the 2 books I mentioned? order via your homepage? or do you want me to just paypal you direct tonight?

Top read (SDTWW) by the way....and who exactly is the reporter whose chapter refers to working for Gareth (PR bum chum) Davies and being royaly shafted out of the NOTW by his political tw@t of a boss?? Couldn't work out who it was ?

Also great chapter by Gwyn - Hence why I want to read the full story :D :ayatollah:

BTW, Sam is frankly as mad as a box of frogs!! Also good to see the photo of Chrissy Beer at your wedding - not seen him in years!!

Best.

Peter

THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF MY BOOK
by BigGwynram » Mon Jun 07, 2010 1:51 pm

Mad ain't it, if ever there was a book that was against hooliganism, this is it. Someone has commneted about the cover, just shows how ignorant and short sighted they are, the thought behind the cover is to show how far we come. it shows the violence that had blighetd the club and then shows the Police holding up a valley Rams flag with broad smiles on their faces.

As a group we new that for our club to move forward we had to change things, and change them we did, during our existence, the arrest figures showed record falls year on year, since wehave folded the figures have increased again year on year.

The foreword in my book is written by Doctor Cliif Stoot is the most emminent academic involved in Football studies and he still uses our history and experiences at the Rams in all his lectures related to football matters.
I was asked to speak to 300 senior Police match commanders at Liverpool Uni about what we had acheived, does all this sound like a glorification of hooliganism.

I am proud of what the Rams helped to acheive and to have it dismissed in this way is like a kick in the bollocks.

GJ you have been in the job for 2 minutes, try using a little brain power I am a Cardiff born supporter but has lived in Denmark for 20 years. I travel home for quite a few games and The Valley Rams have always helped me in a pursuit of a ticket or a lift if I needed 1. Please do not delude yourself that we can get 25,...000 from Lisvane, Cyncoed etc and dont need the Valleys support as we wont, the Valleys are Cardiff City and the sooner you realise this the better. Now be a man and do a U Turn before you end up the new Peter Risdale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think this sums it up. a rugby man will never understand the passion of a football fan, he has just alianated a large percentage of city fans by banning the book. he is used to the zombie type loyalty of welsh rugby fans

Re: SUPPORT BIG "Gwyn Davies" THE VALLEY RAMS

Mon Jun 07, 2010 6:36 pm

totally support big gwyn, this campaign shouldn't stop until gethin jenkins apologises to gwyn and the books returned and put on sale in the club shop, somebody needs to take gj to one side and give a quick history lesson about our club, the reason we are the biggest club in wales is because our support comes from all over south wales and beyond, we've got supporters from holyhead in the north, fishguard in the west and many more places and hopefully in the future a strong following in malaysia, if gj wants to see how big a club can be from mostly drawing it's support from within it's city limits he should look at swansea 7th in the championship and they still only averaged 15,000 crowds.
