Central Midfield or Target Man?

If you could buy/loan just one player, would it be a central midfield player or a target man?

Before today, I would have said Midfield. Now I'm not sure.

Would does everyone else think?

After Jays performance today i would definitely say a target man.

Jay has had a relatively good season to date. However, no one is going to play well every game. I thought Jay struggled today. Ballls kept bouncing off him, did not get much space. Bringing on a replacement mid way through the 2nd half would have been helpful.

We got no other target men on the bench, thats the problem, we have McCormack, Chopra and Feeney but they are not target men. Thats why Bothroyd knows he will always be in the team, our style of play suits a target man and we only have one so in my opinion we need another to give Jay something to think about.

Very very hard one to choose, but I will go for a hard Central Midfield player, but 49% of me wants to get a player to replace Bothroyd and his £2,000 new jacket lol.

I do wonder about our scouting sometime. I am sure they brought in Etuhu as a backupto Jay but then realised after a couple of games that he is not a target man....being backup to one of our best and consistent players is not exactly great planning by the coaching team.
