Two quick points.....

Sat Dec 26, 2009 7:42 pm

1. Was Quinn injured? if not why did Jones replace him with Matthews when we were chasing the game? I hope he wasn't being brought on just for his ability with a long throw!

2. Pitch markings. The pitch markings seem to be very feint probably because of the egg. The free kick at the end which Whitts had saved looked for all the world from the Canton Stand as if the offence took place in the box and should have been a penalty. We have also seen a couple of ocassions where we've had players fouled right on the edge of the area and we've been awarded free kicks not penalties and I wonder if the pitch markings are not clear enough for the officials to see.

Anyway, enough clutching at straws ! The fact is we were not good enough again to beat a team of limited ability who were well organised and who didn't give us time on the ball. We will always struggle against such teams whilst Jones is in charge as he has no idea how to combat it.

I thought Quinn was responsible for the Plymouth goal, & a few dodgy passes before hand. I also thought Marshall's kicking today was awfull!

Quinn had plenty of time to get rid of the ball properly, instead he chose to act like a non league player and hoof it. He couldn't even get that right. He gifted them a chance and they took it. He's in DJ's naughty book and I think the substitution was jones' patience running out with players who aren't cutting it.
I'd be surprised if we see him starting a match for a while.

About time DJ acted on players not up to standard.

I agree with DJ's actions today, but my patience is running thin with him. He needs to Get a grip with those lot on the pitch. I know we don't have that much on the bench but they can't get away with the kind of shit they've served up for the last 5 home games. We keep on repeating it but we need some passion and pride. We were bullied today on our own pitch and no one stood up to it.

Rob, they are still gutless and I blame Jones.

Until the end of last season I'd stuck by him but after that collapse i thought he should go. Then the New season and as far as I was concerned one last chance for him but we still have the same problems. I can't see too much point in changing manager right now but I don't see him taking us where we want to go. He's had enough time.
