A forum for all things Cardiff City

With the Leicester game being postponed while we were in fine form, 3 stunning wins from 3 very difficult games, how much do you think the cancellation will hurt us down the road in our promotion push??
To be honest, I fancied our chances of beating Leicester at the time. The players were buzzing and brimming with confidence, and the Stadium had the chance to be really rocking for the first time. Alas, the frost appeared and the undersoil heating wasn't connected and we went into todays game without the benefit of another 3 points. Wether a week without a game had an adverse effect on the players, I don't know. But the chances are, we'll end up playing Leicester on a rainy Tuesday night in February-March, and end up getting beat, costing us another vital three points.
It has always been said to me that Cardiff City is a professional club run by amateurs, and I hope the staff behind the scenes, the staff who are being paid and compenstated very well for what I percieve to be a time and time again lacklustre job, dont keep us from reaching the Premier League.

Greg, I believe it had a massive effect as we were on a winning run and we were all really up for that game and the fans were out drinking all day(better atmosphere), every time we have a break we usually come back and do bad lol.

I think the cost of not playing the Leicester game could be astronomical, come the end of the season. We always come back after a break looking lethargic & uninterested, totaly out of focus. The politics & reasons regarding the postponement were totaly out of order, &, in my view, unacceptable.

Spot on post and observation, I remember thinking at the time, "this will f**k up our momentum"we always seem toi lose the plot after a week's break.

Totally agree. There's no foresight at the club. A weeks notice in the weather forcast and we do nothing till the last minute.
