This is just a hyperthetical post following tonights rumours that Chopra will be leaving for £4.2m
By way of a backdrop it has been suggested that Chopra is on £25k per week. Therefore if we sold him we would have £5.5m worth of resources to use.
REMEMBER £5.5m is the equivalent of £106,000 per week!
So here is the dilemna.....
a) Sell Chopra
b) Bring in Bellamy (say with £50k per week salary)
c) This would leave £2.6m, or £50,000 per week, to spend on "other" players
Ledley, for example, could be offered an additional £20k to sign a new contract - which in turn would leave money for say two further £15k per week signings.
Dont get me wrong I dont want to see Chopra go but if the above scenario were placed in front of me I would find it very difficult to say no.
