Dave jones full record.

Sun Dec 27, 2009 10:56 am

Of the 206 League gamesJones has been in charge as at 27th December

We have won 79. (38%)

We have drawn 61. (30%)

We have lost 66. (32%)

Scored 277

Conceded 243

Out of a possible 618 points we have gained 298.

Mid table form - with a league position enhanced this year due to lack of draws.

also if we are 1 nil down dj team have come back to win only 5 times in 90 league games in last 5 seasons, he has the 92nd worst record out of 92 managers on that stat. but we must remain with him this season and have faith.

In his interviews, he often refers to "school reports".

I wonder what the "school reports" would say about that record, eh? :?

I've read that interview and can only come to one conclusion and that is DJ is just as much of a politician than PR is. In that interview he did not give anything away that we did not already know.

As far as the "full record" goes you can draw conclusions by highlighting certain facts to suit your argument. It does look mid table if you compare the number of points we have won against those we could have. However mid table is not bad considering he has had to sell most of his decent players over the years and start from fresh. So its not a bad full record but also not brilliant.

The more I think of the whole picture over the last 5 years the more I see how this debt has held us back. Has there been any other championship club that has sold so many to the premiership. Can you imagine our team still having Loovens (I know hes SPL but you know what I mean), Johnson, Koumas, Kavanaugh, Gabbidon, Collins, Eanrshaw ect etc. We had to get rid because of the debt else wh would now be in the premiership.

i agree you can dress stats up to suit any situation but the coming back from one nil down stat has to be seen as a damning endictment of his tactical ability

PR and DJ are like twins and are stuck together, they are both Spin Doctors.
