Its this sort of player we need to be looking at, to develop for the future. Just like we did with johnson and Swansea did with (a former target of ours) Ashley Williams.

Good competition for the other centre backs.

By the way I expect Gerrard to develop this year. Johnson wasn't up to much in his 1st season with us, and Gerrard has played more than he has, a bit of work on his positioning and learning when to go short and long with his passing and he could be a decent prospect and the key man for us at the back.
