that they never seem to comment on Shilton shitting out against a player half his size.

Look at the pics of the goal, maradonna isnt looking at the ball and his hand is only about 6-12 inches above his head. Shilton is coming out with his feckin eyes closed, is nowhere near it and isn't even off the ground.

If that was Marshall we'd be stringing him up by his bollox.

They were still whinging about it on talksport this afternoon

I used to play for a German club in the Mid 80's, whilst I was out there in the Army and went to watch England play West Germany (As they were called then), with my German friends / team mates.

The game was in Dusseldorf and England lost 3-1, which was largely due to 2 shots going in over Shilton's head and outstretched hands and the fact that he was no taller than a Hobbit!

Great goal, and any player would happily claim it.
Can you imagine, "excuse me ref! I handled the ball so it's not a goal."
