Mon Dec 28, 2009 1:31 pm

For £100 Million !!!

Will that leave Sullivan looking at Cardiff with his £50 Million, you never know it's a funny old game ???

Also there was a potential Malaysian buyer, who may be looking elsewhere, didn't catch is name, he is in the Airline business ???

This was just on Sky Sports...........

Davids 46 million offer for West Ham United was a Sullivan/Gold offer. Gold would be very doubtful to go to Wales. Sullivan would have in probability have to go it alone if he wished to purchase Cardiff City.

Although if you look at the Sullivan/Gold offer for West Ham 46 Mill for what somebody else is prepared to pay 80/100 Mill for, then what would his offer to Cardiff City be? Their 46 Mill offer contained 10 Mill for new players in Jan, so in effect real offer was 10 Mill less ! In other words David would/if only be interested if he could obtain Cardiff City very cheaply and invest. Due to the current shareholder structure and their valuation of their share values, I would say it is highly unlikely Cardiff City could attract David.

As for Malaysians, this is another one who talked about purchasing a UK football Club, but was not prepared to go through with the purchase.

I have just had an interesting conversation regarding the above matter that you brought up after making a telephone call to see if there would be any interest from David towards Cardiff City.

Apparantly, all 3 parties were at the Boxing Day Home match, Tony Fernandes ( Air Asia, WH Supporter), Sullivan/Gold ( WH Supporters) and a consortium of wealthy supporters who have set up " Inter Market Group" to make their reported offer.

This offer will be heard/discussed on Jan 4th, of course offers and substance can sometimes be poles apart from doing business.

Gold/Sullivan have given a Jan 7 deadline for their offer.

Fernandes yet to make a formal offer.

It would seem that at present Sullivan is still heavily involved in trying to purchase WH.

And to make matters worse, Shrewsbury have just scored! A game I was looking forward to going to today but was beaten by the dreaded cold/flu shivers.
