Where does Borley say this ?
If its The Echo STEVE BORLEY has said he has NOT SPOKE TO THE ECHO.

Also I have said its virtually dead but Borley has said nothing in football is ever totally dead and you never know, his words to me.

There's direct quotes from Borley, so someone has spoken to him. Although he doesn't deny City's interest in Bellamy, we have not made any offer with regards to loan payments. Its very unlikely it will happen is the story which is obvious. There no news regarding new signings or the numbers. The only other part of story is we have offered Joe a new contract and ball is firmly in his court. Borley again quoted says the Joe will only leave to join a prem club.

The Echo doesn't say they have spoken directly to him, they have quoted him. This happens all the time, a third party will hold interview and pass on this information to relevant press. Becasue the Echo has quoted Steve, I'd be shocked if they did have the media to back up the quotes.

Today the Echo got a story of Jay racing to be fit for the new season and they have quotes from him, but if you read the story it is simply what Jay has put on twitter and the Echo have made it look like they have spoken to Jay.

Pug, Borley said to me direct, they tried like mad for Bellamy but it looks dead in the water, but on the other hand never say never in football.

If a paper quotes someone they need the media to back it up, So what if they have quotted from twitter. Seriously you are getting worked up about nothing. Annis, maybe Steve is ranting, but again the Echo will have the media to back up the quotes. The echo has not said they have interviewed Steve they mearly say "whart Borley said" and I suggest they have the media to cover this. As for the Bellamy story Annis, what steve told you is exactly the story in the Echo!

True it is what he told me direct, but Steve is annoyed because they have made out its an Exclusive interview with him.

I can understand this, however if I was working at the Echo as a Journo I would consider it a job well done! By the way No, I don't work for the Echo.
