World Cup heroes or over paid under achieving prima donnas ????? If Wales even qualified Id be over the moon , if Wales got thru to last 16 Id be exstatic and if we then got dicked 4 - 1 by Germany id say well done lads u gave it ur best shot . England and its media and fans expected then to win the tournament , but why ?? Reality check England and bring on the Euro 2012 qualifiers !

All those over-hyped TV adds from The Sun and we just knew that once reality had bitten they were going to crucify the very players they were hailing as heroes a few weeks before. 
Haven't bought a tabloid in 20 years and the TV doesn't offer much difference via the EBC, ITV and Sky Sports. Just relieved all the hype about this over-rated bunch of over-paid prima-donnas is over, the players only have further to fall because they actually believe they are that good, still, at least their luxury homes, cars, holidays and incessant cash flow will act as a mighty crash mat.
Actually feeling a little sorry for the English fools who believed the hype...Na! Maybe not.

The Sun backed them 100%, and as soon as they dropped out the players suddenly turned into Cowards, etc.
If the media actually looked at Shitland and gave them realistic chances, instead of saying "this is our year" (which, by the way, is said every 4 f*cking years), the Shitland players might've had less expectation on them.
With regards to players like Rooney, he was closed down at pretty much every opportunity (in every game) and not given room to move - this was also true for the likes of Ronaldo. That, with the weight of them being the teams beacon of hope, then you can understand that they flopped like the best.

Who cares? They're out. Like Midfield General said, only two of them played in the World Cup.
I still don't agree with the massive pampering. Maybe if the players stayed with some families in the townships they might realising how worthy their playing careers are and actually put more effort in.

Happens in every football team, but because it's England, it's a massive story. They do need to be taken down a few pegs and enter the real world of football.
