Return of the Sam?

Wed Jun 30, 2010 7:50 pm

Reading between the lines and making things up that I don't know, the way I see it I can see Sam coming back in to the club like a knight in shining armour! A little mixed up with how I will feel about that to be honest. The one thing that is evident though is that we need someone at the helm to help steer us in the right direction. If Sam is the right man for that I don't know as I believe some of the contracts he was throwing around when he was chairmen were questionable. Can we expect Sam back with us soon?

Sam had passion for the game-he had many faults but was 1 million times better than the riddler

Ridsdale is not the one that is rumoured to be returning. Hence not mentioning his contract dealings.
Yes he did have a passion in his belly but it was that passion that led us to the original debt. Granted if it wasn't for him we may not have been here now but he did leave us in just as bad a situation as we were in before he arrived. In my opinion. I'd have him back I think but only if he was kept on a tight leash but somehow I don't think that's SAMs way!

When Sam was here the wage bill was 6 million pounds a year, it is now more than 12 million a year I believe, now you can allow a little for inflation, but feck me we are saying Sam was throwing wages around.

thats because Riddler didnt make all new signings eat sheep testicles before signing on the dotted line , so lots of players scarpered and didnt sign for Sam

All of our big sales have been Sam's signings too! (if you include the academy aswell, which he set up!)

And Ridsdale took all the recognition and the revenue.
