Was there that much to negotiate on??? We get two players with Premier Experience (including a decent one in Michael Tonge) and a wedge of cash???!!! I dont get what the problem is. I know we needed cash to pay the Chopra installment, but surely the cash part of the deal must have been around the £1M mark, so we would have been almost there
Anyay, on another point. As much as I rate Matthews, we are gonna lose him sometime, so in all honesty why cant we get something like £2.5/£3M now? That would solve some of the immediate issues. I mean, its not as if Jones really seems to rate (sorry - 'play') him and we have a plethora ofright back options??
Anyone else agree??
