Yeah but we'd still probably have to give them £500,000 to take him off our hands!

Surely you can't speak for the forum as by definition it is made up of many people with many different views on different subjects. Speak for yourself, not for the forum.

davids wrote:Carl, as someone asked in the other post, who was responsible for reaching this agreement with Sunderland?
Was it the Riddler?
If so, more fool Sunderland if they believe that they'll ever see another penny.
Don't they read the papers?

Whoever it was needs to make his way to The Valley asap to sort out the Hudson position.
Perhaps we could remind them that we didn't kick up too much fuss last season when they called off last season's game at their place because of snow when the pitch and all the surrounding areas were clear, just so they could get some of their injured players back.
One of which I believe was a certain M Hudson !
Can we send him back under the Sale of Goods Act as being unfit for purpose?

Why do you think that Sam in no way wishes to be at a meeting that would include Alan Whitely.

But there is still work to be done on the Hudson deal with Charlton, there is £500k to be paid to Charlton and I am hoping that I will be receiving some news on this over the weekend, otherwise the club will face the threat of a transfer embargo unless an agreement is reached.
With regards to Stoke City and Ledley the deal has still not been concluded obviously and it is getting closer to a tribunal each day, we need to satisfy Charlton on the Hudson deal as any money we may get from Stoke would be held by the FA and passed directly to Charlton.
Soloman Taiwo has returned to train with the club today after failing a medical at Norwich recently because of a hip problem.
With the Malaysian tour being cancelled it is believed that the first team are off to Portugal, lets hope this happens and the players have a good pre season under their belts but I am hearing it is not 100% guaranteed as of yet.
A lot is being made of the meeting between Sam and TG, I can tell you that I am aware that a meeting has been agreed between Sam and Tg and both sides have opted for Peter Ridsdale to act as the neutral to discuss the langston loan notes and other matters too, it is my belief that Sam in no way wishes to be at a meeting that would include Alan Whitely.
Whatever the outcome of the meeting this forum will continue to support TG and Vincent Tan in the decisions they make as we know they acting in the best interests of the club.
There was a belief amongst our directors that with the Malaysian investment they would be aboard a gravy train and has simply not happened, we as fans got excited by the thought of being a rich club and splashing the cash and we have been made to feel far more positive about the chance of big signings especially when directors tell fans we are in talks to bring Bellamy to the club, this was obviously news that the club wanted out in the public domain.
We are all City fans and we will continue to have differences of opinions of whether who should be Chairman and who the next signing is,etc, that should never change and as TG has said we must, as fans, have the resolve, this club has had a turbulent time in the previous 5 years and we do need stabilising and whether it is liked or not Sam Hammam has a part to play in the near future and as much as I dont like it so too has Peter Ridsdale, as long as our club comes out of it stronger I see this as the only concern.
