Was it PMG that has always held the threat of administration over the club and not Langston ?
Now that the Malaysians own more than 25% of the club that no party can put the club into administration without their say so.
Is this why Sam can now come out from behind the door and explain what has gone on that so so many did not understand ?
In the past 5 years we have been told that Sam was the bad guy and Sam would kill the club, but is this the truth or bullshit by the regime running the club at the time ?
If Sam settles with Langston for £10 million but the debt was £24 million I say fair play to him and good work on behalf of the club and does'nt Sam deserve to have the opportunity to talk with TG, of course he does and even the most dim witted person could understand that, because who would benefit from it, the club would.

Rick,I keep thinking the Malaysians are honourable and decent and good businessmen and nothing has made me think otherwise as yet but surely they have a masterplan which in truth none of us know what it is, but surely when you got a man like Sam Hammam who has done so much and devoted so much money, time and effort then he deserves the opportuntiy to be heard.

Unless the Malaysians are going to pay off Langston in full before the end of the year and accept responsibility for all the outstanding debts then I think there is a strong possibility that Sam will return to the club and the club will be on a more sound financial standing.

Carl. I thought the club were going to talk to him, and given the information presented to us then its sensible to do so, especially as whatever agreement is in place he's still our biggest creditor.
Persoanlly I don't really care who was the bad guy a few years ago, as it seemed to me then and still does now that both parties were acting out of self-interest. Its today and tomorrow which matters. There could be hours of debate about that alone which wouldn't make things any better.
Its the 'other' side of things where it gets less clear.
Apart from firming up the 'unsigned' agreement, what exactly can Sam do to help ?
I'm not convinced that we 'need' him in the boardroom, IF we need a 'football man' then lets advertise and do it properly (for once), getting by far the best person for the job.
IF he has money to invest then how much, on what terms, and in what form, and what effect would that have on the other investors - would it just be conversion of one debt for another ?
Could he work with TG ? they seem very different characters.

The Malaysians won't have to accept responsibility for the debt whatever happens though would they?
They're shareholders, but it's still the clubs debt.
I don't know what the best options are at the moment, but I still trust the Malaysians and I think they know what their doing.

If getting Sam in can clear the Langstone debt or help reduce it further then it has to be considered. I also don't believe Sam would be as stupid(that's not the correct word but you know what I mean) again. He also wouldn;'t be the main man this time round, keeping him on a leash for want of a better phrase! Some of you guys obviously know Sam betetr than I do so you will know if I'm talking out my arse. Wouldn't be the first time!

Paul I understand what you are saying and Sam knows he had an accident with regards to our finances when he was in charge, did he deliberately try to f**k the up, no he did not, if Sam was to return then he is aware he will work for the Malaysians and that would be the difference.

It would either be as a loan, or eventually an increased shareholding.

Tim I am sure Sam can help with the Langston loan notes and also with the stadium naming rights issue and if he does then that will be for the better of the club, I also believe that Sam will have cash to invest in the club too, which is something the club is desperately in need of.
TG and Tan will have a plan, no doubt, but it does not involve throwing large amounts of cash at the club so they are, it would seem, looking at other ways to get over the debt issues. We have seen it with the PMG issue of writing off £2.7million for shares, but as yet the club has not invoked, maybe this could be something we could see happen with Langston.

Surwelty Sam will want something in return - and that 'something' will I'm certain be very hard to swallow for many of the major shareholders and creditors.
Also, Sam has in the past made money promises, and made fools of us in the process. Not that long ago we were being told that Sam was skint ! I have a definate concern as to how much hre really has behind him.
You might think I'm being negative about this, but I'm only saying what the vast majority of our fans will be thinking. I want this all to work out -and for the best for the club whether that is with or without Sam.
