Thing is, if he joined Stoke, we'd have got money and 2 players out of the deal (allegedly), and he would have played in a better league with better football.

thats proberly right, he knows he's not good enough for the prem and would get found out and never play or even go down to lower league levels, so he must think by joining celtic he could kinda shine in a piss poor league whilst collecting his 25-30k wages whilst sorting his bank balance out, then if he dies shine he'll hope a prem team will come in for him after a year or two
