When he makes the players watch the video nasty do you think he ever sits and watches it himself? If he did he might learn that tactics play a big part in football. Maybe he did look at it and say to himself ok lets blame Jay Bothroyd but Hmm after he went off and we still let in two goals, whose fault was that. Yours Dave you forgot to match Peterborough in midfield and guess what? we got overran in there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree Tony, I am not a Jay fan, but its a bit harsh to single one player out, Maybe he should look at himself .

I personally can't blame DJ, it's the players fault, they were on the pitch and didn't mark for any of the goals ????

Matthews is great going forward and we get more goals with him in the team but defensively we conceed more when he plays, Quin and Hudson looked bad yesterday 2nd half also..........

I could've told him that.

It's collective though, surely? He did nothing to change the course of the game by keeping the same formation instead of closing the game down. He said himself the game should have been closed down and players should have done this, but why didn't he change the personnel to do this, at least at 4-2 when they looked like they really were coming back into it? He can't just say players have to look at themselves, he has to have a long look at his tactics, or lack of them

Jay is about to join an exclusive, but long, list of players that have fallen out with Jones during his time at OUR club. He'll be shown the door in January just like the others to the deteriment of CCFC.

To be fair, he was right.

I think the comments re; Jay were a bit harsh, but it was the press who singled him out and DJ reacted to that. He did say he wasn't the only one.

As for, why didn't he change the tactics - that is not always the answer. It doesn't always work and having listened to it, we could have went 5-4-1 or 6-4-0 and it wouldn 't have made any difference. The players thought the game was won. THey should be made to train every day, twice a day for amonth, and on the morning of a game.
