about to sign a four year contract @ £25,000 per week. That's £5,200,000
his families future secured and will still be young enough at the end of it to hit the big time

You can't blame the bloke, really. Wouldn't be the first hometown player of any club in the country to move on and we have no divine right to keep anyone at the club. Good luck, Joe

It'll only be 2.6m after tax, still not to be sniffed at....

No problem with him leaving and I wish him good luck but if he loved his home town club like he harped on about then why did'nt he sign a contract with sufficient get out clauses included, this would have helped his beloved club with no depremental affect on him...sorry Joe but you could have helped

To be fair, he always said he was a Cardiff lad but never a Cardiff fan. I wish he had joined a Premiership team but he didn't. I know this was financially rewarding but I honestly believe he's made the wrong career decision. Yes, he could break his leg tomorrow but chances are he won't.
Good luck Joe, I don't hold any grudges. It's your career and you can do what you want with it. I feel it's the wrong choice going north of the English border though.

he didnt make the wrong career move mate, he made the only career move that was left available to him.

Because he his not that good, if he had signed a new contract with us NOBODY would be after him. He,s going for free and there are still only two teams in for him, says it all really!!!

Just a pity then that thanks to his decision there may not be a Bluebirds around to be in his heart.
