So we've not got international clearance from the FA as a transfer embargo in place, but he could play.

Can't play a player contracted to another club though, not without international clearance in this case.
Which wouldn't be granted as loan hasn't occured, surely?

not sure on that bit you probably right,
but any trailist or loanie is ok to play.
as for drinkwater who knows.............

Yeah, I'm not arguing per se.
triallists, loanees can play.
But they have to have the appropriate clearance; for a loanee from Man Yew, need the documentation from the FA as it's an international deal. Equally, given the loan can't occur until the embargo is lifted, then should he play tonight, then the embargo had to either not have existed or been lifted in order for the loan to be processed.

I'm pretty sure he can play as a trialist as long as they have Man Utd's permission.
