someone told me that he was considering signing a 1 year contract for us a couple of weeks ago,i ignored it,he may have a point,as you said who knows.

Is this really an option for the club? Yes we could have him and go up, but we could also have him definately go for nowt next year. Could happen anyway if he goes to Celtic now.

Joe Ledley's agent David Baldwin works for a company with quite a few City connections amongst it's staff and it's clients.

This last minute hitch has got everyone thinking. It could be anything but how many times have 'last minute hitches' meant another club has suddenly made contact. I dont get Stoke's stance on all of this. Tony Pulis has been after Joe for a few seasons now. He was willing to sign for 6 mil and pay a decent wage a few seasons ago but now they can get him for 3 mil and only have to find a few more thousand a week to match Celtics offer. It dont make sense. If they really want him surely they would have gone for it. And as for Liverpool, that must be a bullshit story, cos if they really wanted Joe surely they could compete with Celtic? Who knows what is going on, but it would not suprise me if another club is now in contact with his agent to sort something out. Maybe Joe's agent only went up to Glasgow to flush out another club? What and see time!

According to Dave Jones, Stoke have only made us a player exchange offer and DJ didn't want any of the players offered.

He also said that no other Premiership club have made an offer, that Joe had turned down our "fantastic offer," effectively leaving him with either Stoke or Celtic to choose between!
