Koumas at Cardiff city

Fri Jul 09, 2010 4:10 pm

Would he have done any better than this ?

I reckon he would of, because he is more a championship player and was loving it at Cardiff.

His Premiership stats for Wigan read as follows:

2007/08: 21 (+9) appearances, 1 goal

2008/09: 5 (+11) appearances, 0 goals

2009/10: 6 (+2) appearances, 1 goal

Total: 32 (+22) appearances, 2 goals.

Shocking statistics for such a talented player. To put them into some sort of perspective, Cameron Jerome started as many games in the Premiership last season (32) as Jason Koumas has managed in his three years at Wigan.

Koumas was 27 years old when he joined the Wigan. He should have been at the peak of his career. Instead, he has spent most of his time there in the reserves.

obviously happy to sit there and just pick up his wages. If we obtained his services would he be willing to work his bollocks off for it again ? just to play. Maybe Koumas at CCFC is not such a good idea? especially now he's got alot older than when he last played for us...... just my 2 cents! :ayatollah:

He'd just got a cracking deal, big wage, an opportunity to play premiership football
how much more motivation does a player need??

Koumas was lazy, and found the Premiership too much like hard work. He was great for
us that season, but at that stage in his career the Championship was a piece of piss for
him. We dont need him back.
