Probably won't be too exciting. If it is it will be a first for the Egg on Sunday!

I reckon he'll just say that being refused the opportunity to speak to Stoke when their offer came in on deadline day was the main reason why he decided to allow his agent to ruin the rest of his career and set him on the road to Middlesborough next season.

Hope I'm wrong though and it's full of juicy bits. Still won't buy the rag though - will read it on here! :ayatollah:

So another Ridsdale cock up to add to the list. I find it amazing that the Everton bid at the end of last season wasn't taken seriously?

Fast forward 12 months and we'll be reading similar headlines with Whittingham/Bothroyd et al. Who will get the blame then ? We won't be able to blame our old chairman then.

Yes we will, again that will be his fault after running the clubs finances like a monkey in a banana tree, now the club , new owners have the fall out of the Riddler reign! ie Club now having to ask players to defer payments due to the Riddlers outlandish spending with those players only having short terms left etc.

Well done Joe for speaking out. Cardiff City under the guidance  of Peter Ridsdale had enough time and opportunities to cash in on Joe however their incompetence shone through and we got f**k all. So all you fans blaming Joe shame on you. Aim your blame where it's rightly due. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

He could of signed a new contract with us IF HE WANTED TOO.

I hate Ridsdale but come on, If Joe wanted to stay that much he would have been here now.

Kinda got to agree with this to an extent.

Now, Ridsdale isn't very loved, but his comment about Joe at the time was one fo the few things that PR got right. He was nowhere near his usual self and "taking one for the team" did very few any favours. The difference was there for all to see when he returned from injury.

He can blame PR all he wants but he's admitted he was offered a very good deal that had the potentila to earn him more in 2 weeks than I get in a year.

On top of that he's let the club shell out for hs operation then turned round and stuck two fingers upto everyone, including the fans cos it's us who pay our hard earned cash. We're not all fortunate to get the opportunity to earn £11, £13 or £28 grand a week.

To me, it's Joe trying to deflect the abuse rather than man up a bit and take it as much as PR deserves it. Joe had the opportunity to stay and left.

Now we should draw a line under it and forget about him. New season is round the corner and there is always life after players leave.

So you'd have both taken £13,000 per week, when you could get £28,000 per week for playing for somebody else?

To be fair and honest Gareth, I'd have probably done the same as you've indicated you would do, in my younger days.

I'm not so sure now though and I do think that Joe gave his all for the club.

There's a lot of talk that Platini is looking to bring in a new financial system to all clubs in EUFA, which would limit how much clubs would be able to spend on players. I think that it's along the lines of clubs only being able to spend a certain percentage of their club's income, which would stop the likes of Chelski and Man City spending what their owners own, as opposed to a percentage of how much revene they generate.

This would be a good thing as far as I am concerned and will put things on a more even playing field!

If this was to come in though, it would have great repercussions for all the top players, as the clubs wouldn't be able to pay the extortionate wages they currently pay and I can see why some players are trying to get as much as they can now, before Platini's plans come in!

Is that what we are debating? Did he already know that he would be offered that elsewhere? He's stated that had the offer been a bit earlier he'd have signed it, so was money not the issue?

“If I’d been offered a contract six months earlier I would probably have signed it.

“I would probably still be a Cardiff player today..."

As good as. He still chose to go elsewhere. His choice, but he's got to take what comes with it for his part. He can blame PR or anyone else if he likes but it's as much down to him as anyone in my eyes. Everyone has different opinions on it.

I totally agree. Everyone is saying he took the moral high ground etc.

Bollocks. He admitted he still had a chance to sign for Cardiff and turned it down.
