idea for us fans to get us out of this mess

I was crap at maths in school and fear I may get slaughtered for the following idea.

Also,it has probably not been thought out properly, and we are in a difficult time financially, but what the hell.............

I believe we have over 15000 season ticket holders, and my suggestion is that as many as possible offer the club an interest free loan. My suggestion is that the minimum be £100, and the term would be up to 5 years and interest free. If we are promoted before 5 years have gone then the loan is repayable in full. The gamble is, that if we do not go up, no repayment is made. Obviously, this is for diehards only, as the only real reward would be to see us go up, not financial.

I calculate ( probably wrongly? ) that if 10,000 of us loan £100 it would raise a million, and that should be enough to get the embargo lifted and us signing a few loanees maybe?
If you were to invest £500 or more it would also entitle you to a half price season ticket should we go up. £1,000 or more would entitle you to a free one in the same circumstances.

No doubt some of you lot more astute than me financially will point out the flaws in my cunning plan, but at least I tried!

Would never happen, football is too expensive as it is

It would be simpler to do what they always do and put season tickets on sale in November.

The cost during these difficult times is a big obstacle, but November season tickets wont help us now when we are in dire need.

I would like to see a revamp of the Academy Foundation Scheme. I few months ago BigGwyn suggested that we should be allowed to buy shares in the Academy and get a return when players from the Academy are eventually sold.

I thought it was a great idea shame it didn't get off the ground.

For now the only income is the Malaysian generousity but I still think ST's will go on sale in November, although this time the club will probably be honest and beg us to buy them because they are skint.

Actually I liked your idea and I would lend the club £100, but I seriously doubt we could get another 10,000 fans to do the same.

Further the scheme would raise £1m which is a footnote on a club with debts of £30-40m
