Sell him for 5 million (buy billy sharp or Simmone Jackson) buy a decent f*cking centre midfield player that can win games.

Not sure how I feel about this. I really like Chopra but he hasn't looked like scoring recently and he's obviously a player for whom confidence is everything and at the moment he is getting little or no service from midfield, particularly with Mcphail missing.
On the other hand McCormack is looking like ( a rather tubby) shadow of last seasons player and he also has not really looked like scoring certainly from open play since he came back from injury. With Ross I think that following the Hull debacle at the start of the season he just wants to be away from the club as soon as he can go and If Chops does leave then I think we could struggle even more than we are doing now.
The idea that we could use some of the transfer money to buy a replacement or strengthen midfield is a myth as any money received would undoubtedly disappear the same way that all the other millions of transfer proceeds have disappeared over the years.

Newcastle have targetted Chopra?
Terry missed out "FACT".
It's all pure supposition.
"believed", "understood" - all vague terms giving the reader one impression whilst allowing a get out clause should it not happen.
The only FACT in the article, is the sourced comment. One which says, errm, there's been no offer.
But no, must be a FACT as Terry says it might happen. Terry Phillips, the guy who WalesOnline cited during last years Jan transfer deadline day... in response to a claim Chops was coming on loan 10 min before deadline, "no, just spoke to Terry on the hone, he says there's no chance Chopra will be returning on loan".
Anybody who repeats Terry's unproven claim quite frankly needs shooting.

Sell him, the more we can get rid of from this squad the better.

its the age old saying " never let the truth stand in the way of a good story"

Has anyone thought that maybe his non-scoring spell might be something to do with his move to a rival top 6 team transfer in January?
Why did Jones leave out his MUST PLAY striker against p'boro, and why does Chopra travel back and forth to Newcastle and his home there on a regular basis......
Tapping up - Springs to mind ?

1) Non scoring spell due to us generally playing shite, not giving the forwards service in the box.
2) Played McCormack to try something different.
3) Duh! Chops' missus and kid errm live in Newcastle. Yeah, I'm sure he's routinely clendestinely going to NUFC for talks not to se his family...

Chopra for anything above £3m is good business. McCormack puts in 100% whenever he plays, and whilst some may argue he isn't as good as Chopra, it's not hard to beat no goals since September.
