I assume we are paying for Quinn with the money from Kennedy plus the money we have just bagged up in to coin bags from the very large whiskey jar. So Whitts will go to Nottingham for the about to be improved offer that enables us to pay the Revenue and Charlton and then we can start to focus on football.
What chance Whitts hanging around in Nottingham tonight to see Billy Davies for a "drink" ?

Annis, sorry but the man is another Riddler. He knows perfectly well the players are unhappy and he also knows they have approached the PFA. By saying no one needs to be sold he is just deflecting the next sale on to that player by them wishing to leave!!

All Smoke, mirrors and spin - “We are aware of Chopra’s comments. As we said before, we are endeavouring to meet the challenges that we face to get the business back on a sensible financial and business footing.
“We are working hard to get through the transfer embargo. We are working very hard to try and recruit players.”
“We are aware of the situation regarding Motherwell,” said Jenkins.
“We are working hard to resolve the situation as soon as possible.”
Every problem "we are working hard on" - I dont see anywhere where we will do anything just working hard to resolve them. I fear that we have another person on board who is very good at delaying the inevitable.....what that is only time will tell!

That seems to be the standard answer whenever debt raises its head. I can remember the same crap coming out of the directors mouths back in March when the HMRC debt was threatening to close us down.
What did this 'working hard' turn out to be? PMG raping the club of the hotel land and then keeping the money to pay themselves off, that's what.
All of us are growing tried of this babel talk, what we need is facts given to us straight along with a plan to get our selves out of this mess once and for all.

To be honest guys I really don't think that the stock answer of ''we're working hard to sort out the issues'' is spin in any way. Let's be honest, if he was to come out and tell the truth as many on here see it such as; Actually we're bollocksed'' then the knives would really be out for him.
I can already hear the choruses of ''what a stupid thing to say''..... ''how is this going to effect transfer values, clubs will only offer half what players are worth''....'who is likely to sign for us now after that idiot saying such a stupid thing?''
On the other hand if he was to give an alternative statement lie we were about to be coming into bucket loads of cash then you would proably find queues of crediditors waiting at the gates of the CCs on Monday morning asking when they were going to get paid! You would also get players agents trying to push into the queue rubbing their hands together.
Gethin Jenkins is doing what he is told by his employers, keeping things close to his chest, this is what happens in busness.
He is nothing more than an employee of the club regardless of who instigated his employment. He is an administrator and refreshingly, doesn't appear to be a publicity seeker, god knows weve had a gutsfull of those recently.
Sometimes in business you can't just come out and tell the truth because it can have a detrimental effect on your longer term business strategy, I guess we just need to be patient and trust that people that have already invested mllions will continue to work hard and address the problems.
With what they have been left we should be happy that there's still a team to watch!

Most sensible thing I've heard on here all week!

If GJ did say we are bollocksed and have no plan to get out of it, then yes I would expect him to get slaughtered.
However if he explained that there was a plan in place which would result in the important short term debts being paid off, rather than 'working hard on them' then it would help reassure everyone including our rivals.
What worries me is that 'working hard on something' usually means either ripping the club off or dropping it further into the shit.

How can he tell the entire truth? Advertising that you are effectively a seller would completely undermine your hand at any negotiating table. Under the circumstances (e.g. publication of winding up petitions linked to PAYE), presenting yourself as putting the house in good order is the only position the Club's spokespeople can take.

The trouble is we have been down this road before. As I said the last time the directors were 'working hard' on a debt, the outcome was PMG paying themselves £1.9m for a strip of land which will be worth a hell of a lot more. Revealing that 'deal' would have had no affect whastsoever on players values etc.
It is understandable that supporters are now very sceptical and would prefer to be told the truth, especially as we have been assurred players sales are not on the agenda.

I agree with Tony we have been down this road before, No point trying lies/spin/keeping quite as everything comes out in the end.

From a fans' perspective, I'd agree. If I was one the larger investors, and let's face it they own the club, I would not be so sure. Does one of the Cs in CCFC stand for Charlatans?

We have got PMG acting like a fat kid working in a bakery...
The Bakers are working hard to produce cakes...
PMG are eating them before they even get on the shelves for customers -
and not paying a f*cking penny

Beautifully put
How can we believe that all is in hand, when we can't even pay a £100k debt that has been due since Jan. Even with the Malaysian investment, we are still robbing Peter to pay Paul.
