relegation???

i reckon theres a solid chance we could go down. now, i know friendlies are friendlies but we are not performing and i said that last season we were lucky that teams like ipswich, preston, sheff.utd, reading, middlesborough, qpr etc. were not up to much.
thats without teams like leeds and norwich coming up either, some might say that this will be an easy league without newcastle and west brom but i beg to differ.
this season will be an uphill struggle from the off and i cant see us finishing in the top half TBH.
but good luck boys and try your best thats all we can ask for.
to say i was gutted after the blackpool game is an understatement but i am not at all looking forward to this season.

You could be right mate, we need something positive to happen with the club to boost morale, but at end of the day we've still got a football club.

Look on the Bright side, THEN WE WOULD SEE OUR "REAL" SUPPORTERS WEEK IN WEEK OUT (Jenkins can arrange meetings with The REAL Fans), OUR AWAY SUPPORT WOULD DOUBLE IN MY OPINION. But on the Sad side the New Stadium would be Empty, unless we came straight back up and it was promotion all the way.

Exactly. This is the thing that bothers me. People start moaning about relegation without realising we still have the same team that got to Wembley last year. In fact we have probably improved it with Heaton and Drinkwater.

Sorry to sound like a Jonah, but Leeds went down the season after they got beat in a Play Off Final. I agree that the squad we currently have is not a relegation outfit under normal circumstances, but, in a league as competitive and tight as the Championship is, there is a fine line between success and failure.

I know people shouldn't read too much into pre season results, but Chopra's outburst could be a sign that all is not right in the dressing room (given all the crap that has been going on off the pitch this year and the heart breaking end to the past two seasons, this wouldn't be too much of a surprise if it were true) and, if that is the case, we could get involved in a relegation scrap.

You raised good points Bob. Did Leeds get relegated with the virtual same 11 as the year before or was there an exodus of players?
Agreed that the dressing room must be a dark place at the moment judging from Chopra's point. However I do trust TG and the club to raise the Morale of the players and DJ in time for August 8th.

I said the same thing to my mate last night. We would get rid of all the "sit down and stop singing new fans".

When we were proper shit it did feel like we were all part of the club and would have our voices heard also taking over shit little towns was always a laugh, better than getting hearded around by the plod like we do now

Leeds were in terrible financial trouble at the time and took a ten point deduction by going into Administration after their relegation was confirmed so, you are right, I think their team did change a fair bit because they had to sell their best players.

yes i would agree with you, BUT we got a confidence factor with us this season, players bonuses, no new players, etc
