Just got back

Sat Jul 24, 2010 7:20 pm

from Notts County, IMO if that is the best that we have got, then I fear for us.
Clueless, no inspiration from the captain OR anyone else for that matter, lack of passion and fight and no ideas.
All I can say is I am not looking forward to the season, and my only hope is that we avoid relegation :( :( :(

:( I will be happy just to stay in the league this season, top 6 sounds a long way off.

What really annoys me, throughout all the problems that we have within the club, I know we have quality players and that they can perform with guts, fight and passion. We see it on a number of occasions last season, I don't about any of you guys but when I play ANY sports or games I play to WIN whether or not it is a friendly or training match, We all know that winning breeds good habits, and most importantly confidence.

Today there was in incident with Gerrard in the second half and a person in front of me said what do you expect from him he's a "HOTHEAD" :o . My god at least he shows a bit a fight, just wish we had 11 players on the pitch showing a more of the same "controlled" fight and passion.

I agree that winning is the prime factor in any sport. However if I was the manager under the present circumstances the first order of the day would be don't get injured

We don't want players injured cos we can't replace them while under this embargo.

With the difficult situation that the club is in at the moment I would have thought it is imperative that the squad has as clean a bill of health as possible. Nobody gets any prizes for winning a friendly but plenty could be lost through having unecessary injuries picked uo in a meaningless friendly,

Totally agree about not picking up injuries, but today the way some tackles were going in on Chops, McPhail and Ross I'd be surprised that they didn't come away without a few bruises.

I was always taught and I coach players DO NOT go into a tackle half heartedly, you WILL come away worse off!
