The NOTW today report that Manchester City will be offloading at least 12 of their squad because Premier League sides can now only register 25 players for use in league games.
City have a squad of 37 and are looking to add to that with James Milner amongst others.
Apparently the registration has to be completed by 1 September. What if Bellamy didn't find another club by then and was not one of the registered players?
Could he then join us a week later as an emergency loan on the £18k p/w deal which was muted before?
They say these Malaysians are smart cookies, are they that smart?

i know it is only pre season, but i have seen enough football to know that morale and confidence can sometimes be the major factor between success and failiure.
lose the first 2 or 3 games of the coming season, which is a distinct possibilty at this moment and tg will have an uphill and major uphill struggle on his hands.
they may be astute business people but football is something else.
like any other business the customer has a major say, poor product = no customers.
the malaysians need to start lifting the club with some movement with this embargo, a few new players and a good start to the season.
a poor start and the fans will turn, whoever is in charge.
we are on the point of a vicious circle, they need to make sure that they call this right.
at this moment i think they are calling it wrong.

This 25 rule is going to kill the England and Wales teams. Soon there will not be one English or Welsh guy playing in the premier. Unless a premier team must include such players I can see this happening.
We have bad start to the season the fans will indeed not turn up. If we finish a boring mid table our ST membership will be down next season. I elaborate and say they could be halved next season.
I'm not being trying to be negative here but truthful. I feel the Malaysians are going to learn a harsh lesson here very quickly. Lets look at our history. We had 7,000 STs before we got to semi of the cup. Next thing we had 15,000 going into the final. We increased that the following season due to just missing out on a PO. This season we have increase the sales due to certain promises. I think we are up to 17,000 now. 3 exciting season we have had. The fear is all that hard work could be undone by just one boring mid table finish season.
Just thinking practically here and I hope the Malaysians are aware of this.

How can rule 25 kill the England and Wales teams if you have to name at least 8 English/Welsh players in your squad ?
