IMHO it wont happen and can see no further than admin for us, my guess is we'll enter administration in our first week of the league and try and claw back the deducted points. Its like snakes and ladders with no finish line.

Either TG and Tan will say 'feck off your on your own now!' or they have got the eggers right where they wanted them now and something major could happen. It will probably be the former but who knows

Palace got it right.
In hindsight I wonder where we'd be today had we gone into admin last may? At least we may have been looking at starting this season on zero points instead of minus ten.
Sun Jul 25, 2010 10:52 am
the thing is nothing has cahnged for two years, its just getting worse, i really cant see any alternative but to go into admin and try and start fresh even if it means dropping into league 1

Do we have enough assets to pay all the secured debt?
Everyone seems to be fighting for secured debt, there's PMG, VT, TG and that Virgin Islands company. Don't think there's enough player value to pay them.....

Annis , your starting to sound like Bob Geldof!
On a serious note though, if that is the case that they are being asked for this Sum, then who is actually running the business side of the Club, because I would have thought the current Chairman would be aware of the full financial situation and would not need to be asked?
Sun Jul 25, 2010 11:03 am
Admin might not be the answer though - there is no guarantee that you survive if you got into admin!!

The stadium is the secured asset

Makes no odds were are in the shit and in the middle of a business war between three parties. The eggs are hanging on for every penny they can get, the Malaysians are hanging on for every penny someone else can put in and somewhere out there, belive it or not, Sam is pulling the strings, oh and don't forget Ridsdale is advising all parties .
Now I wonder who actually is making money at present, yep you've got it, Riddler has been paid on time every month for three months and if anyone is in the know, wonder how much his contract is actually worth as a consultant per month and the bonus he'll get if he mediates and sees new owners arrive!!!!!!! (I'm saying nothing else on that subject!)It all stinks!

Well they cant sell the stadium so thats no good to them! Who would want to own a stadium you cant sell and the one team that would be left there (Blues) cant afford the rent anyway - especially if they had to stump up the extra 80% upkeep costs!

They can own it and rent it out to the two clubs.

Wishful thinking mayby!!!

If Cardiff are in administration, they cease to exist as a business entity. The administrators will sell off all assets and then look to sell on. A new company will them exist to run the club. It does beg the question though, who may want the club without the ground.

Why don't we sell Chopra, and/or Whittingham ?
Didn't get to ask you earlier, but why £4m.
I guess we owe about £1-£1.5m PAYE, and then there will be this months wages & PAYE of £1m appx, £500k for Charlton, then Sam and PMG's staged payments - say another £250k,Motherwell and perhaps staged apayment to Sunderland or S.A.M plus other stadium staged payments and ongoing costs like electric, rates etc.. ?
As Whitely is the one who's gone to see them then i guess they are looking at legal implications... which hopefully will involve the purchase of the remaining shares and capitilisation of PMGs debt.
The good news if any is if we can get over this hump, it should get a bit better from August onwards as gate money, rugby rent, sponsorship and league money come through in the months to follow, not forgetting that a big chunk of what is owing is 'old' PAYE arrears.

Good shout Lawnmower - I think we are in a steeplechase and just about to enter the closing stages of the race with the biggest obstacle in our way - I think if we can get over this one (tax man / embargo and other small creditors) then we have a good chance of pushing on (probably not this side of January) but in the window if we can stay in the race until then. The season I suspect may start slowly but if we can keep the key men fit we have a fighting chance in January when hopefully cash issues improve.

Surely they knew we were next to F/cked when they got involved...... Due Diligence, Smart People,""! Borley was shocked by just how much they new" etc

I would imagine most of this would have been planned anyway. This won't come as a surprise to them.
Obviously it's good that their putting money in and not selling a player, but I'm not sure how long it will go on for.
