Many fans now ' wish' that we would go into administration to cure all our debts but would it be such a good thing when you consider all the possibiltys. Would TG want us to go into administration ?
Firstly as discussed on here tonight there are many creditors who have secured status against the club's assets, so people like Paul Guy, Ray Ranson, Compass would receive money, our players would be sold off very cheaply to pay these creditors, we have a bare squad as it is, we would have to play the youth team to field a team. Couple that with the points deduction and I would be sure we would struggle against relegation.
Also I believe that to come out of administration you must have the agreeance of 75% of your creditors and as the largest creditor to the club, even though they are not secured, would Langston agree to the club coming out of administration if they have not received their dues ?
This could be very risky for the club because with the secured creditors getting sorted before the unsecured ones, yet the unsecured ones are the biggest creditors, could lead to a very difficult situation.
Would the Malaysians, who have done thorough due dilegence, want to be seen as failures if the club was to go into administration, they are considered very smart businessmen who knew of every debt the club had prior to investing, they are honourable people we are told.
I cannot see them putting the club into administration and neither do I believe it would be beneficial to us. There are other issues relevant to admistration and I am sure more people can enlighten me on them but I have thought about this matter tonight and dont agree with many peoples views.

Any creditor can apply to have the club put into administration. If Charlton for instance really wanted to play hardball over the £500k, they could apply and a judge would decide if that would be the best way for the outstanding creditors to get all, or some of their money.
At least that's my understanding of it.

something must have changed with their thoughts on the club in the last few weeks.
are they now looking to cut and run?
are they upset with the current board.
were they upset that the current board issued a statement that tg would not be meeting sam.
they are the major shareholder so should be leading on the current issues most importantly the court date on august 11th.
if they are playing a brinkmanship game, they need to realise that this transmitted down to the players will soon see them holding a 40% stake of a third division club worth many millions less than now.
i personally cannot see us doing anything other than selling off our last remaining worthwhile assets.
ie chops, whitts and j.
ill make a claim now that we will be relegated if we choose this route with possibly no more than 6000 season tickets sold for next season.
we are heading for an almighty fall .

Carl, I agree I cannot see us going in to administration even though many fans are now talking that way and No way would the Malaysians let us go that way, Just My Opinion.
Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:14 pm
is a very confusing scenario, if the youth players are not registered they cannot play, and we must have a squad of 20, we need an accountants view on this
Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:15 pm
The players value would be rasticly reduced.
what would be left.answer the stadium.
would the council grant a change of use to say knock it down and
build houses and more shops.
bare in mind there was some opposition from the city traders to more out of shopping.
PMG & SAM ARE LOOKING AT 20P IN THE PoUND.
Their will hope for more but in reality they won't get it.

When you look at the deal the Malaysians offerred when they took a 30%+ stake you wonder why PMG/iassacs etc agreed to parts of it. Then you realise that they really had no choice but to accept because the Malaysians backed them into a corner.
That process is still ongoing and clearly the Malaysians want something more and are again backing the other board members into a corner to get it.
What they want I don't know, but I would certainly see their point if they wanted the previous directors to pay the HMRC tax owing which relates to the time before they got involved.

Not 100% if that is correct. Charlton could out us into admin but they would have to come up with a case to do so. They would have ot argue that we are not capable of paying them back the £500k. In football terms that is a low figure for a club like Cardiff. Someone like Bournemouth yes but not clubs of our standing. To go into admin we would have to owe alot more like Langston who could quite easily argu their point.

Correct Ian, Charlton will get their money through the Football League stopping say our TV payments etc.
Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:34 pm
Well they are failing now no matter how you analyse it. Transfer embargos, money owed left, right and centre, wages constantly being paid late....Word spreads within football and business cirlces so I don' think they are doing their reputations any good what so ever!!!
Granted none of the above is their fault but they took us on knowing all this and their lack of communication and on the face of it action towards these matters piss me right off!!!!
Never been so flat going into a new season, even in the dark old days we brought new players in to create fresh optimism!
BUT will I be there singing my heart out for the boys every game next season? Too bloody right I will....CITY TILL I DIE

I was of course just using Charlton as an example as they are a publicly known creditor. The point stand that any creditor could apply to the court for the club to be put into administration.

It's as if we're being drip fed.
How long can we go on like this, without going into admin?
Is this week the final (and hardest) hurdle before the finish?
If so, i can see where you're coming from, but if not, then admin looks inevitable.

This does seem to be the likely scenario. There is a power struggle of sorts and the new investors are trying to get the old investors to pay their way.
We all know the easy way out of our debt problem is to sell an asset or two and with the preceived interest in some of our players I would think sales would be easily achieved, but the club is saying no players will be sold (unless big cash is offered).
Luckily they STILL seem to be sticking by not selling our most important players, so is it an old versus new stand off?

Tbh I would say any other club board will not be surprised what is going on at our club and will know alot better than the average fan what game the Malaysians are playing. I would say all the other club boards already know the Malaysians will get there way and it is only a question of time. I would say all the other club boards will be more than happy to deal with the Malaysians instead of the Riddler. At least they know if they sell us a player they will get their money.
Sun Jul 25, 2010 8:49 pm
As I've said before why should someone who owns 30% of the club pay 100% of the debt, this is where the issue lies in my opinion!
If the consortium gets an increase in the share ownership then maybe there will be more funds, otherwise they are just bailing out the other directors?
Or is it more complicated than this...
Sun Jul 25, 2010 9:00 pm
It is the issue Jon.
How the Malaysians are going to overcome this issue is another story. My fear is it could take along time like a couple of seasons. i hope they are a sclver as everyone says they are and they sort it out by January.

Just give Hudson back in my humble opinion what a waste of money. I don't know what he earns but i understand he is one of our highest paid players. Who the f**k agreed his wages ? bet it was the Riddler. TOSSER

Agreed the Malaysians appear to being squeezing the old board, probably to finish the job and a full take over, if it happens it should be good long term.........
