Squad numbers

Mon Jul 26, 2010 4:07 pm

Take a look at the squad on the relevant part of the official CCFC site.
No Kennedy ( hence up to date? )
No Heaton or Drinkwater. ( Embargo?)
Capaldi included?????????

Apart from that it makes sense.

Interesting reading

I always liked Capaldi. His long throws made him the Delap of the Championship

He was never a BAD left-back at all, but he didn't stand out, as it were.

Mind you, none of our defenders (except maybe Gerrard and McNaughton) stand out as being half decent, and McNaughton has been lacking as of late.

Me too Capaldi on the left Matthews on the right both great long throwers its just another weapon in the arsenal get another target man upfront maybe Howard bound to get goals from it.

I don't see why DJ never took advantage of it. Bothroyd is brilliant on the head and could've knocked in goal after goal with this tactic.

Take that back about super Kev! I shall not hear his name cast in vain!

I see what you mean though. I felt Capaldi suffered from a lack of regular football. He doesn't suit our style of football in my opinion. He's not a bad player, just not right for us. I thought he had been released anyway? Wasn't he on trial at Plymouth?

Capaldi was brilliant during the FA Cup season but then had injuries and fell down the pecking order. When he did play in the season just gone he did seem good. I would like too see him have a go and we should use full advantage of his long throws.
