The Pub we allways go to

In London for New years is shut. The Wife and I come up every new year to see my Sister and we allways go to this Pub but as we drove past the Place earlier on it was all boarded up. Gutted.
What can Pubs do theese days to stand a chance what would you do if you had a Pub? It seems to be a very hard game to be in at the Moment.
