TG STATEMENT

Tue Jul 27, 2010 5:38 pm

I believe the Chariman needs to release a statement with the aim of giving the fans the truth of the situation we are in, I let TG know my feelings last week and again this weekend, TG told me that he will be releasing a statement soon but obviously I do not know what will be included in it.

I told TG that many of us thought that our problems were over when he and Vincent Tan invested in the club and maybe we mistakenly thought that it would mean a fast track to the Premiership, but also in turn we did not expect to see the continuing issues that keep coming to light each week.

I also asked if there could be a statement on the seasons aims, as the lack of activity in the transfer market a result of the emabargo is putting more strain on an already thin squad.

I have thanked TG and would like to thank him publically for continuing to pay the players wages which they will be paying again this week. I t is a shame that others on board have followed their example.

I hope the statement will provide us with some answers, especially the embargo and the continuing debt problems we have, cause the one thing we all want is the truth. We can deal with the truth but you cant deal with spin like our previous Chairman was accustomed too.

We need to give everyone a lift before the season starts, we dont want bullshit and spin we honesty and to know that he is in control and dismiss some peoples claims that they only came here and gambled on the play offs. Hopefully it can unite everyone :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I'm confused what changed. PMG always wanted out didn't they? What made the Malaysians change their mind from wanting all of the club to allowing PMG to stay involved.

The only thing I can see that has changed is we are now Championship not Premiership. Has that changed their mind?

I was all excited when I saw your heading - I thought it would be a statement.

TBH though i don't expect much more from it than asking us to be patient and that they have a lot of work still to do.

What else could he say ? He's not going to say -I'm putting £10m in as he'd have a queue of Creditors from the CCS to the Millenium stadium within 10 minutes.

Frusrtrating as it is for us, this is something which is going to take time and patience and involve a lot of work behind the scenes and gradual unravelling of the mess which the club has been left in.

I thought it was a statement from him too, maybe the sticky was a bit misleading :)

I think you're right though, he won't be able to say what we want to hear really.
If he just comes out with, we're working on the creditors, keep the faith etc he'll get shot down for another 'spin' statement.

At least a statement will be better than no statement

I agree but like any business they will only say so much altho football is a totally different scenario , maybe TG needs to understand football fans a bit better ? Plus it doesnt help that we on this Forum get privvy to stuff going on behind the scenes regarding " new " investors etc that we are demanding too much too soon ? The joys of being a City fan :ayatollah:
