Annis seeing that the accounts have been filed is like christmas coming early! Will we still be under the embargo due to Charlton/Motherwell, or does this lift it for us?

Well that puts me on a slight downer.

At least one thing has been knocked on the head (That should've been a long while ago). This may be the move that gets things kicking.

Hopefully All This will Now Be sorted Before Our First League Game :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The accounts have been filed and the embargo could have been lifted but then the Charlton and Motherwell scenario emerged so the embargo remains until this is sorted. I thought the HMRC were satisfied for now with us paying 1 months tax, but i am aware that we are now 3 months in arrears ao possibly things have changed now. :(

cant wait and its live on Sky too , lets put all this nonsense behind us and start the season off with a win ......... we've got a half decent squad as it is now so Im not too worried about the embargo just yet ! :ayatollah:

Unless there's going to be further investment (which I doubt), having the embargo lifted doesn't really matter does it?

Well - it gives us the freedom for more loan signings, even if we can't get some players in permanantly.

Annis are they doing this for more shares - it's a lot of cash to be putting up for nowt in return. I can only assume that PMG are coughing up for the o/s cash for Quinn and Hudson and no doubt (soon to be revealed ?) Taiwo

I doubt PMG will even cough up enough to cover their round in the Director's lounge for the pre and after match drinks, never mind anything else.

That said there is more light than we think, because the Echo today carries a full transcript of the players signed by each team in the Championship.

TBH no-one is setting the world alight and Ipswich for example have only signed Mark Kennedy! Burnley and Middlesbrough seem the only teams to have forked out any kind of cash, but they are both hampered by shit managers.

Looking at it from that perspective I can again see us being very competitive against what's out there and definately finishing in a play-off position.

About time us fans had a bit of good news from the club lol! Just hopefully the club can keep things up to date now rather than letting them get so far behind and letting things build up! I wont mention any culprits! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We desperatley need to get some new signings, the squad is looking thread bare. Hope this embargo is lifted soon. There are still some decent players out of contract we could pick up such as Nicky Butt and Robert Koren, I bet DJ is itching to get on the phone.

One brick at a time lads. So long as we sort the financial situation I don't care who we bring in, if anyone. This is a written off season for me. If we get in the playoffs it's a bonus but given last season, I'm just happy we are where we are and I'll take a mid-table finish but financial stability any day of the week. Anything else is awesome.

Surely the light at the end of the tunnel will go out when the Power Company pull the plug because of the unpaid bills .......

Yes I agree, although maybe Sheffield United have strengthened too, so it will be a big test a week Sunday, and we've lost a few players (one key one) from an already paper thin squad.

But the news that VT is backing us with cash to keep us going helps.
I also notice that the Echo thinks we are getting TV money next month (not October) which will help no end if true.

First eleven, competitive, yes.

Injuries, suspensions, loss of form, we're screwed.

The bulb in the light at the end of the tunnel is not actually owned by Cardiff City FC

It was bought via a loan for 60p from PMG to be repayed at a rate of erm... 60p a week
for the next twenty years.

As for the light fitting that actually houses the bulb....

Dont ask, just dont ask!!

Hard to argue with for sure Nerd and TBH you could well be absolutely right.

However, this is a positive thread so I’m looking for positives and I remember us having a serious injury crisis last season which we got through with the emergence of Wildig and Matthews in particular.

We are shorter on bodies this time but the Joker in the pack is our graduating Academy players who are top rate quality compared with those in the rest of the Championship.

The Sheffield United game will tell us a hell of a lot about our squad this season.
