How the hell can they afford his wages, they are skint in they?

thats hell of a signing for them. Loads of experience prone to the odd cock up (what goalkeeper isn't?) but not so much as in days gone by.

I wouldn't want him here, they're welcome to him. Overrated in my opinion. Lets hope at least one of his calamities is against us

Yeah, good signing in my opinion.

Lives in Newton Abbot, didnt want to travel and wanted to be a number one.

He lives in Exeter, so going to Bristol isn't too far for him to travel and still have a chance of reaching Playoffs in the Championship, but as you say he could have finished his career in the Prem with someone like Stoke or West Brom. Not surprised that he didnt go to Celtic as thats a bit far from where he lives.

no, sums up how bad english goalkeepers are that they dont want England's #1 in the premiership...
and also cos james is close to home now, and didnt want to move north

Sums up how poor Englands national team are when their No.1 signs for a mid table Championship side. Im guessing David James has given up on playing for England.
