Are we not allowed to reminise about Ninian Park?

Never to be mentioned again is it?

I don't think so!

i loved the old lady,my first game was scarborough back in 89 i think,it was all terracing then, the legend that is cohen griffith missed a sitter of an header,we drew 0-0,great memories... Promotion against shrewsbury,2-2 against boro, the jack cunts throwing seats at kids(me at the time) thompson getting sent off 2 games on the trot, philliskirk scoring 2 against hereford, phil stant at any time, carl dale,my lil brother mascot against millwall THAT first game of the season...(wiping tears now) but we have 2 move on and enjoy chopras 4 against derby, beating them cunts down the road, whittinghams goals this season(1 was a header) and leicester in the league when geypes was sent off, jones made 3 early subs(unusual 4 him) and burke played what seemed like an eternity with 1 leg...the crowd that night at the CCS takes some beating and will live long in my memory

Fans make atmosphere, not grounds - let's not wear rose tinted glasses, Ninian was often quiet.

I viewed it as a family pet, maybe a scruffy dog. Getting on in age, problems keep occuring, the kinder thing to do was to put him/her down rather than prolong the suffering...

But the past as so good, CCS will never be the same and i will hark on about it because the new stadium is weak. it is just another stadium with no imagination.

Ninian park had character, the new stadium will never have that.

Re: Many supporters still living in the past !!!!!

Ninian Park also had abysmal facilities, portakabin toilets, crap food.

It also had little to no hospitality et al.

The place was falling apart. Spend money on a pit with little to no chance of doing anything other than continue to struggle along financially, or get the new stadium and hope to sort the financial side out.

Who wants hospitality, it's football. Going for a piss is the same in a portakabin as anywhere else, agree with the crap food. the place was falling apart, it was not a pit.

Struggle along financially or get a new stadium and hope to sort the financial side out, that dot seem to have worked out

Come off it, you and I both know that in the long term the stadium will gain us far more than staying at Ninian ever would have.

D'you not remember getting thumped 0-3 by Ipswich there? Fat load of good the famous Ninian atmosphere was then.

I don't care where we are, Ninian, CCS, Oakwell, Deepdale, the Nou Camp, the Stadio Olimpico, I'll sing my heart out for the Bluebirds no matter what.

If everybody goes into the CCS with the same negative attitude it's no wonder the atmospheres are likely to be turd.

If City dont sort out the mess thats going on, then you will singing your heart out in the new stadium with 4000 other supporters, me included, while playing Barnet.

Then the stadium will bring in no extra income. Only if we are successful will the new stadium bring in the extra money we need.
