" SURELY THIS IS NOT THAT HARD TO DO ? "

Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:51 pm

Going on from what Sludge has said earlier Today.

Our Chief Executive goes to the Malaysians as Says Can We have say £100,000 Not to pay bills, BUT TO MAKE MONEY IN OUR CLUB SHOP, I will then make it in to say £300,000.
Sorry but I am dumfounded by how they are running our club the people there on the day to day basics

Cardiff City Club Shop.

used to be far more at the old one

was looking for a sweatshirt with a tidy city logo for the autumn nights

I dont normally moan about the club , specially given our current situation , but its more like a cardiff blues set up in there

no shirts ..surely they must have old stock they can sell off ?

and very little else

The place is a shambles, me and my old man have bought plaques with our old ninian details on (seat numbers, block ect.) about 4 months ago, they said it would take 6 weeks, bearing in mind we have paid for them now we ring up to see where they are and they have no records of us even buying them.. It seems like everything down to the shop is in turmoil at the minute!

My wife had a baby boy this week, went in there yesterday to get him something NOTHING in there. I was ready to spend at least £100 on the little fella. They are losing significant sales end of but let's face it the club has always been run like an amateur set up on the commercial front. I hate to say it but the Blues have had it licked for years

We have tried to tell Gethin Jenkins, his response I have to much on, I have players contracts etc to do, yet that was Borleys job.

Amateur. What is Jenkins' background apart from the Dragons? Any business crudentials/achievements? It would be funny if it wasn't so bloody serious. The commercial set up has lost thousands and thousands in missed sales.

Annis, I think they're afraid to admit their incompetence.

A cardiff lad who ran the merchandising for the Millennium Stadium for several years and the mechandising marquees outside of the shop around the stadium in the last Ninian year (Dave Jones can tell of his "can do" ethos) almost begged to be involved .... but the face didn't fit!

Instead he got involved in several International (UK, Europe and Australasia) merchandising promotions for several sports and other institutions and currently, amongst other things abroad, is merchandising The Cancer Trust events in this country.

He would still leap at the chnce to be involved in his home town, and his track record suggests that everyone would be a winner.

But yet again, non experts think they know best. Just like the the catering .........
