Merthyr question which maybe you all could answer.

hi m8 i'm a merthyr lad born and bred but as much as i'd like to see 2 teams here it would'nt work tbh we only just had enough crowds to survive as long as we did due to the loyal few football at penydarren will be back as the ground cannot be built upon due to a roman fort underneath the place there thus no good for development which is good news.the bad news is there's no cash about at the mo to support a decent team but times change merthyr will never cease to have a footy team i hope anyway!!

Don't want too sound negative but the pitch at Penydarren Park struggles with the pitch being used every other week and there is just not enough attention for it too work out

Didn't Sam want to get involved with another Welsh club, some years ago, with regards to Europe? Cwmbran i recall.
