ME and LEE TRUNDLE TODAY

Wed Dec 30, 2009 10:23 pm

Went down the Langland bay Brassiere for lunch today with my 80 year old ex judo coach Alan Petherbridge who was the British team captain at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, his knees may have gone be a could still put me on my arse now if he felt the need, great man and a great ambassador for the sport.

After lunch we called back to the Swansea winter wonderland set up, same as the one outside the Cardiff museum more or less, my 12 year old son was having an ice skating session in his Bluebirds top,as you do.

I was leaning over the fence watching him impersonate bambi on ice, and who should be standing next to me with his young daughter I would imagine, was my old mate Lee Trundle. I introduced myself and had a bit of banter with him, my wife took a photo and I'll upload it later, didn't ask him if he was wearing the famous Tee shirt, but he was sound as a pound and looked fit as f**k fair play.

Still hate him when he's on the pitch, and will still slag him off every game I watch him, but that's how it should be, it ain't personal, mind you, if it had been Alan Taite, He'd be at the bottom of the marina now with an anchor around his neck, lol.

After 5 wives I may be beyond turning, and it would have to be one big f*cking closet.Mind you I can see the benefits in having a good shag and being able to talk about football after it, so who knows.

As you said Gywn the dislike is football related, apart from that we all have families and lives to lead. On the pitch I wish Swansea and Trundle all the worst, off it they are the same as anyone else.

Some times you can tell a lot about a person by the way they are on the football pitch. Yeah he's good banter off the pitch but I still can't help but feel he's an over confident smarmy prick. I haven't met him though so I'll reserve judgment. I'm not a firm believer in this 'c**t on the pitch but fair play he's a gent off it'. A number of the great players have proven you can be the best by being a gent on the pitch and a gent off it e.g. Pele, Bobby Moore.

Just in from the Jacks site....

Lee Trundle : "I was out and about with my little girl earlier, doing a bit of shopping (not five finger discount, honest la) having a bite to eat and I thought we'd pop down to see what was happening down at the Winter Wonderland. They have one in Cardiff too, I believe.

As we were looking onto the Ice Skating rink I saw a little kid in a Cardiff shirt. Just when I was contemplating throwing chairs at him, I turned round and next to me was my old mate BigGwynRam. He introduced himself and his wife even took a photo of us. We had a bit of banter and he seemed like a decent enough guy, even if he did look like he'd been piling on the pounds.

I still hate him when he's on the terraces, when he's booing me when I'm playing for my beloved Swansea, and thats how it should be. It's not personal, it's football. Mind you, if it had been that Annis Abraham, he'd be at the bottom of the marina with an anchor around his neck"
