Marshall 6 - no real save to make
Kallio (left back triallist) 6 - Ok, but gave winger a bit too much space
Hudson - 7 solid, won all ball in the air. Easy 60 mins
Blake- 8 . Excellent, covered well and linked far more comfortably with Hudson than in the play-offs. Passing was very good.
McNaughton 8 - back to his best, several great tackles and decent passing. Confirmed today that he was playing with an injury at the end of last season. Deserved MOM
Burke - 5, very poor 1st half did better after the break
Whittingham - 5, not involved enough and is awful when we don't have the ball.
Drinkwater- 7 played plenty of decent balls and won a fair few tackles as well
Rae - 7 solid enough game, even played one or 2 decent passes. Worked hard.
Chopra - 6 worked VERY hard, but missed 2 simple chances
McCormack 6- as Chopra !


2nd half
Vignal - 7 got really stuck in, simple and accurate passes as well worth another look
Gerrard - 6 not on for long, but we were cut apart 2-3 times with him and Gyepes together
Gyepes - 6 (see gerrard)
heaton - 6 , nothing to do apart from the goal which wasn't his fault.

Jarvis - 5 only 10 mins, but missed a simple chance, didnt seem too keen to chace the centre halfs down.

Cant remember anyone else having a run !

- Kallio (left back triallist) - 4 slow even though faster than kenedy couldnt deal with winger
Hudson - 7 agree did make a couple of mistakes
Blake- 8 . couldnt agree more
McNaughton - my MoM was very strong and sharp today hopefully fit all season
Burke - 5, his first touch was apauling today should be fully fit for start of season
Whittingham - 5, not the same player as last season keeps driffting into center all the time
Drinkwater- 8 was another of the better players on the pitch not affraid to get stuck in and played alot of good balls tor chops and rosco
Rae - 7 a diffrent approach from rae i thought he played well considering his form last season
Chopra - 6 played his heart out in the final worked hard today aswell should have buried his 2 chances
McCormack 7 first half was one of the best players on the pitch linking up well with midfield maybe 4-3-3 should be played .

2nd half
Vignal - 7 reminded me of a mix of gypes and mathews
Gerrard - 5 played an average game
Gyepes - nothing to deal with
heaton - 7 realised he can kick with both feat and he realeases the ball out early unlike marshall
Jarvis - 4 didnt do much one good chance but hit side netting

0-1 to deportivo first half for 20 minutets the game was ours then the rest it just died down bit by bit
