Where was Jay yesterday???

Can anyone throw any light on why Jay didn't play yesterday? Sitting in my seat Ali read out the team and Jay was up front with Chops. When they lined up no sign of him and looking at the dug out he wasn't there either? Was there a last minute bid for his services from Blackpool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
